In 2024 another initiative of the ASISA Foundation, was implemented by The Hope Factory supporting 63 youth owned Micro Enterprises in and around Rustenburg, Northwest. Due to all the challenges facing SA Youth, it was extremely beneficial that ASISA Foundation, Ninety-One and The Hope Factory combined their resources and efforts to uplift and support the youth in that region.
At the close-out function, 54 micro-enterprise owners successfully graduated, 52 businesses are actively trading, 34 businesses have improved sales and 30 have increased business profitability. During the programme, 24 full-time jobs and 52 part-time jobs were created; this was gleaned from the responses of 45 participants who had completed the Interim assessments.
