The Hope Factory secured a collaboration partnership with Peco Power, funded by CHIETA in Gqeberha to develop 10 youth start-up businesses in the green energy industry with the potential to become Peco Champions. Offering an off-grid electricity solution for township communities. The programme included the QCTO, Accredited New Venture Creation Short Skills Training Programme, Electrification and Commercialization training. Each participant received a Peco PowerBrick System; to promote this Green Power Solution within their communities. All 10 SMMEs businesses are registered with CIPC, they all received training from PECO on how to install the PECO power brick and acquired skills on how to install the PECO power brick.
