In 2023, 16 entrepreneurs from Uitenhage graduated from an 18-months Socio-Economic Development Programme that consisted of training and mentoring sessions supported by KPMG volunteer coaches and the Nelson Mandela Bay Development Agency.
75% of participant’s main source of income is now business income, there was a 57% growth in the number of businesses that were trading and 86% change in entrepreneurs separating their personal and business transactions.
