The Hope Factory’s successful delivery of the HWSETA SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) Training Programme has translated partnership into measurable entrepreneurial skills impact, supporting 22 SMMEs across the Eastern Cape and Free State and achieving a 95.6% competency success rate. Implemented across East London, Gqeberha and Bloemfontein, the programme highlights The Hope Factory’s ability to deliver practical, high-quality business development support across multiple provinces while strengthening SMEs within the Health and Welfare sector.
Driving Impact Across Provinces:
The programme reached 22 SMMEs across the Eastern Cape and Free State, with graduation outcomes delivered across three locations:
- East London: 10 SMMEs graduated
- Gqeberha: 4 SMMEs graduated
- Bloemfontein: 8 SMMEs graduated
This multi-city rollout reflects The Hope Factory’s ability to coordinate consistent, practical training across geographically dispersed regions while maintaining quality and learner support.
A Programme Designed for Sustainable Growth:
Over three months, the HWSETA SME Training Programme equipped employees from HWSETA-registered SMEs with essential business skills. The training focused on strengthening operations, improving sustainability, and giving enterprises in the Health and Welfare sector practical tools to support business growth.
The programme achieved a 95.6% competency success rate, with participating SMEs meeting the required standards for graduation. This outcome underscores both the effectiveness of the training and the commitment of the entrepreneurs who took part.
