Directory, responsible for introducing and proling entrepreneurs currently on our Johannesburg
Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme. This programme specically targets existing Black
Owned businesses, operating within the Johannesburg / Pretoria metropoles, with annual turnovers
ranging from
R250 000 to R10 million
. Accordingly, all The Hope Factory entrepreneurs are rated
B-
BBEE Level 1
.
In many ways, this Directory brings to life those very lives we exist to mentor and impact. Lives on which
the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) codes have been based, and which give
meaning to the transformation journey we as a nation have undertaken.
With the advent of the changes to the Codes, particularly relating to the introduction of
Supplier
Development
, this directory is very practical in nature too. That is, the entrepreneurs within these
pages all possess one unanimous desire; the expansion of their customer database through the
accessing
of new markets
. A question we would therefore like you as the reader to consider when previewing
these pages is,
“Who can I do business with today?”
It goes without saying, that we feel this is one of the most important, powerful and socially responsible
questions any business can ask of itself in South Africa today. The role of corporate South Africa in
particular, in providing a

to South Africa's vast formal and semi-formal

on the JHB Hope Factory Programme, not all of them
qualify as being supplier
ready
