Energy Resource Optimizers (ERO) is an Energy Services Company (ESCO) which was founded in 2002 and started to operate
fulltime in 2006. Independence was main reason for starting the business. ERO is 51% black owned (15% economic
empowered), a registered vendor with Eskom a corporate member of SAAEs, (Southern African Association for Energy
Efficiency) and a member of the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA). EROhas ambitions to be household name in the
hospitality sector in Southern Africa and to be recognized by Eskomas main ESCO.

City Lodge Hotels, Sheraton
Pretoria Hotel as well as the
ATKV resorts. Over the past year
these groups have saved between
8 and 15% in energy consumption
as a direct result of the ERO
Sustainable Energy Management
Programme.

ERO has successfully undertaken
Eskom IDM (Integrated Demand
Side Management) Projects for
the above mentioned companies.
To date ERO has received in
excess of R20 million from the
Eskom IDM fund for our
customers.
