GEW Brings Business Growth Celebration With The Hope Factory

The Hope Factory's entrepreneurs and business mentors celebrate their business growth during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world's largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth.
Through its strategic mentorship programme, The Hope Factory has helped many entrepreneurs to grow their companies and achieve financial sustainability.
During GEW, The Hope Factory will highlight the achievements of 8 entrepreneurs who have spent 3 years on the mentorship programme and will graduate before the end of 2015.
Fullmenu Catering owner Johanna Mashigo who's in business with her son says:
“When we joined The Hope Factory programme we were operating at a loss (73%), but now we have achieved substantial increases in our profit margins.”
They have achieved 101% profit margins in net profit thus far. In 2013, The Hope Factory presented Full Menu Catering with the top performing entrepreneur of the year award.
Hygiene & Cleaning Company, Total Healthcare Services, is another great example of why the mentorship programme is vital. Zukiswa Bakana and her partner started the company from scratch without any funding and have grown it substantially. “Our staff compliment has grown from 2 to 40 permanent employees and about 10 casuals,” says Bakana.
Ujimabakwena Shoe Cooperative is a 100% B-BBEE compliant entity and owned by 14 women and 3 men. The company manufactures school shoes, orthopaedic, leisure and safety shoes. All products are made to SABS specifications and industry standards.
